racecarscans.com (“the site”, “we”, “us”) is a place for people to share 3D scans and 3D print files of race car parts. By creating an account or using the site, you agree to these terms.
Your account
- You need a free account to download files, share files, post projects or post in the forums. Anyone can browse and read without an account.
- Keep your login to yourself. You are responsible for what is posted from your account.
- You must be at least 13 years old to create an account.
Files you share
- Only upload files you made yourself or have the right to share. Don’t upload other people’s paid or copyrighted models.
- You keep ownership of what you upload. By posting it, you give us permission to host it, show previews and thumbnails of it, and let members download it under the license you pick on the upload form.
- We review new uploads before they go public and can decline or remove any file, project or post.
Using files from the site
- Each file shows the license its owner chose. Follow it. If a file is marked non-commercial or personal use, don’t sell it or parts made from it.
- Files are shared by members as-is. We don’t check that parts fit, are strong enough or are safe on a car. You are responsible for testing anything you print, make or fit, especially parts that affect how a car drives, stops or protects its occupants.
Community rules
- Be decent. No harassment, spam, scams or illegal content.
- Don’t post other people’s personal information.
- We can remove content or suspend accounts that break these rules.
Copyright complaints
If you think a file on the site infringes your copyright, see our Copyright & DMCA page.
No warranty
The site and everything on it are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damage or loss that comes from using the site or any file, part or information found on it.
Changes
We may update these terms. If we make a big change, we’ll note it on the site. Continuing to use the site means you accept the updated terms.
