This page explains what racecarscans.com collects and what we do with it. The short version: we collect what we need to run your account and the site, and we don’t sell it.
What we collect
- Account details: your username, email address and password (stored scrambled; we can’t read it).
- Profile details you choose to add: your car, race series, gear and home track.
- What you post: files, photos, descriptions, projects, forum posts and comments. These are public once published.
- Basic technical data: like any website, our server records IP addresses and browser details in its logs to keep the site running and secure.
Cookies
We use cookies to keep you logged in and to remember basic settings. We don’t use advertising cookies.
How we use it
- To run your account and let you download and share files.
- To send account emails, like password resets.
- To keep the site safe and deal with spam, abuse and copyright complaints.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information. It is stored on our hosting provider’s servers (DigitalOcean), and account emails are sent through Google. We only share information beyond that if the law requires it.
Your choices
- You can edit your profile any time from My account.
- You can ask us to delete your account and personal information by emailing racecarscans@gmail.com.
Children
The site isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
